The Scripture
(2) And the king took off his ring, which he had taken from Haman, and gave it unto Mordecai. And Esther set Mordecai over the house of Haman.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
In this chapter the king of Persia orders Esther to go before him and bring the message of the Jews' deliverance. Esther obeys and goes to the king with counsel and the Jews are instructed to fast and rejoice. The chapter shows how God’s providence leads to a royal decree that saves the people.
