In this chapter the king orders Haman to be hanged for his treachery, and Mordecai publicly praises Esther for saving the Jews. Esther is then given gifts of gold and jewels as a reward for her faithfulness. The chapter ends with the king’s decree that Haman’s feast is to be observed, but the Jews are protected.
