Ecclesiastes 2:21
The Scripture
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
Ecclesiastes 2 records the Preacher testing pleasure, wealth, and great achievements, only to find it all vanity and vexation of spirit. He weighs wisdom against folly, noting both the wise and the fool share the same fate and are eventually forgotten. The chapter concludes that enjoying one's labor is a gift from God, who gives wisdom and joy to the good but burdens the sinner with fruitless toil.
