II Peter 3:9
The Scripture
(9) The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
Peter warned that scoffers would come in the last days denying Christ's promised return, forgetting that the world was once destroyed by water and that the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire on the day of judgment.
