II Kings 8:29
The Scripture
(29) And king Joram went back to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds which the Syrians had given him at Ramah, when he fought against Hazael king of Syria. And Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king of Judah went down to see Joram the son of Ahab in Jezreel, because he was sick.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
The Shunammite woman's land was restored to her by the king after Gehazi recounted Elisha's miracle, while Elisha wept upon foreseeing the great evil that Hazael would inflict on Israel after becoming king of Syria by smothering Ben-hadad. The chapter also records the wicked reigns of Jehoram and Ahaziah over Judah, both of whom walked in the ways of the house of Ahab.
