II Kings 23:30
The Scripture
(30) And his servants carried him in a chariot dead from Megiddo, and brought him to Jerusalem, and buried him in his own sepulchre. And the people of the land took Jehoahaz the son of Josiah, and anointed him, and made him king in his father's stead.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
Josiah read the Book of the Law to the people and renewed the covenant with the LORD, then purged Judah and Jerusalem of idols, high places, and idolatrous priests, even defiling the altar at Bethel. He then celebrated a great Passover unlike any since the days of the judges, though the LORD's anger against Judah for Manasseh's sins remained.
