II Corinthians 5:1
The Scripture
(1) For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
Paul explained that believers have an eternal house in heaven awaiting them, and that whether at home in the body or absent from it, they labor to be accepted of the Lord since all must appear before the judgment seat of Christ. He described believers as new creatures in Christ and as ambassadors entrusted with the ministry of reconciliation, pleading with others to be reconciled to God.
