II Chronicles 8:16
The Scripture
(16) Now all the work of Solomon was prepared unto the day of the foundation of the house of the LORD, and until it was finished. So the house of the LORD was perfected.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
After completing the temple and his own house over twenty years, Solomon built and fortified numerous cities, including Tadmor and the store cities in Hamath, and organized the Canaanite peoples remaining in the land into forced labor. He also regularly offered sacrifices at the temple according to the law of Moses and organized the priests and Levites in their courses of service.
