II Chronicles 6:25
The Scripture
(25) Then hear thou from the heavens, and forgive the sin of thy people Israel, and bring them again unto the land which thou gavest to them and to their fathers.

Solomon blessed the congregation of Israel and recounted how the LORD had chosen Jerusalem and David to build the temple, then knelt before the altar and prayed a lengthy prayer of dedication. He asked that the LORD would hear the prayers of Israel and even of foreigners made toward this house, forgiving sin whenever the people turned back to Him.
