(3) And said unto the Levites that taught all Israel, which were holy unto the LORD, Put the holy ark in the house which Solomon the son of David king of Israel did build; it shall not be a burden upon your shoulders: serve now the LORD your God, and his people Israel,
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
Josiah kept a great Passover in Jerusalem unlike any since the days of Samuel, organizing the priests and Levites and providing abundant animals for the sacrifices. Josiah later went to battle against Pharaoh Necho at Megiddo against the pharaoh's warning and was fatally wounded, dying to the great mourning of all Judah and Jerusalem.
