The Scripture
(25) And Jeremiah lamented for Josiah: and all the singing men and the singing women spake of Josiah in their lamentations to this day, and made them an ordinance in Israel: and, behold, they are written in the lamentations.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
Josiah kept a great Passover in Jerusalem unlike any since the days of Samuel, organizing the priests and Levites and providing abundant animals for the sacrifices. Josiah later went to battle against Pharaoh Necho at Megiddo against the pharaoh's warning and was fatally wounded, dying to the great mourning of all Judah and Jerusalem.
