II Chronicles 33:23
The Scripture
(23) And humbled not himself before the LORD, as Manasseh his father had humbled himself; but Amon trespassed more and more.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
Manasseh did great evil, rebuilding the high places, worshiping the host of heaven, and even sacrificing his sons in the fire, causing Judah to sin worse than the nations before them. After being carried captive to Babylon, Manasseh humbled himself and prayed to the LORD, who restored him to his kingdom, and he removed the idols and repaired the altar of the LORD.
