The Scripture
(18) Now the rest of the acts of Manasseh, and his prayer unto his God, and the words of the seers that spake to him in the name of the LORD God of Israel, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
Manasseh did great evil, rebuilding the high places, worshiping the host of heaven, and even sacrificing his sons in the fire, causing Judah to sin worse than the nations before them. After being carried captive to Babylon, Manasseh humbled himself and prayed to the LORD, who restored him to his kingdom, and he removed the idols and repaired the altar of the LORD.
