II Chronicles 33:11
The Scripture
(11) Wherefore the LORD brought upon them the captains of the host of the king of Assyria, which took Manasseh among the thorns, and bound him with fetters, and carried him to Babylon.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
Manasseh did great evil, rebuilding the high places, worshiping the host of heaven, and even sacrificing his sons in the fire, causing Judah to sin worse than the nations before them. After being carried captive to Babylon, Manasseh humbled himself and prayed to the LORD, who restored him to his kingdom, and he removed the idols and repaired the altar of the LORD.
