The Scripture
(30) This same Hezekiah also stopped the upper watercourse of Gihon, and brought it straight down to the west side of the city of David. And Hezekiah prospered in all his works.

After the death of Joash the people appointed Uzziah as king and he ruled for many years. Yet Joash lived in sin and his reign was marked by the nation's spiritual decline. The chapter records his death and the beginning of a new era for the kingdom.
