II Chronicles 31:19
The Scripture
(19) Also of the sons of Aaron the priests, which were in the fields of the suburbs of their cities, in every several city, the men that were expressed by name, to give portions to all the males among the priests, and to all that were reckoned by genealogies among the Levites.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
Second Chronicles 31 describes Israel tearing down idols and altars throughout Judah after the Passover, then Hezekiah reorganizing the priests and Levites and restoring the temple offerings. The people respond with overwhelming generosity, bringing tithes and firstfruits in great abundance. Faithful administrators distribute the gifts, and Hezekiah is commended for seeking God wholeheartedly and prospering.
