The Scripture
(3) And the asses of Kish Saul's father were lost. And Kish said to Saul his son, Take now one of the servants with thee, and arise, go seek the asses.

Saul, a young and handsome Benjamite, went searching for his father's lost donkeys and was led by his servant to consult the seer Samuel in the land of Zuph. Samuel had been forewarned by the LORD of Saul's coming and told him the donkeys were found, then privately anointed him as prince over Israel.
