The Scripture
(11) And the LORD said to Samuel, Behold, I will do a thing in Israel, at which both the ears of every one that heareth it shall tingle.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
The boy Samuel, ministering before Eli, heard the LORD calling his name in the night and, after Eli instructed him, answered, "Speak, LORD; for thy servant heareth." The LORD revealed that He would judge Eli's house forever for the sins of his sons, and Samuel grew and the LORD was with him, establishing him as a prophet to all Israel.
