I Peter 4:11
The Scripture
(11) If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
Peter urged believers to arm themselves with the same mind as Christ, who suffered in the flesh, so that they would no longer live by the lusts of men but by the will of God, having spent enough time in past sins. He exhorted them to be sober, to pray, to have fervent charity, and not to be ashamed if they suffered as Christians, but to rejoice and glorify God in that name.
