I Kings 21:6
The Scripture
(6) And he said unto her, Because I spake unto Naboth the Jezreelite, and said unto him, Give me thy vineyard for money; or else, if it please thee, I will give thee another vineyard for it: and he answered, I will not give thee my vineyard.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
Ahab coveted Naboth's vineyard, and when Naboth refused to sell his inheritance, Jezebel arranged false witnesses to have Naboth stoned to death so Ahab could seize the land. Elijah confronted Ahab with God's judgment that dogs would lick his blood and devour Jezebel, and Ahab humbled himself, causing the LORD to delay the disaster until after his death.
