(10) Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
In this chapter the apostle John writes to the believers, reminding them that true fellowship with God is possible only through Christ, and that love is the evidence of that fellowship. He explains that those who love one another are in God’s own body, and that those who claim to love but do not love God are not his children.
