The Scripture
(8) And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
In this chapter the angel who has been given authority to open the sealed book calls out to the nations that have oppressed God's people, and they answer, indicating that the time of the great tribulation is near. The book then lists the seven angels who are given power to judge the nations, and the first angel is described as a great, red dragon who will be cast down to the earth.
