(1) And the LORD spake unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the first month of the second year after they were come out of the land of Egypt, saying,

In Numbers chapter 9 the Israelites are afflicted by a plague that strikes those who have not obeyed God’s command to bring the tenth part of their harvest to the altar. The chapter records the Israelites’ response, the death of the unfaithful, and God’s instruction to bring the remaining produce, highlighting faithfulness and the serious consequences of disobedience.
