The Scripture
(5) Take it of them, that they may be to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation; and thou shalt give them unto the Levites, to every man according to his service.

In Numbers chapter 7 Moses tells the Israelites that God has turned away from them and will not let them enter the promised land. He warns that the people will die in the wilderness if they do not heed his warning and obey God's commandments. The chapter emphasizes the seriousness of disobedience and the dire consequences of their rebellion.
