(2) And the people cried unto Moses; and when Moses prayed unto the LORD, the fire was quenched.

In Numbers chapter 11 the Israelites, led by Moses, complain that they cannot cross the Jordan because of the water. God responds by sending a swarm of flies to punish them for disobedience. The chapter highlights the consequences of disobedience and the need for trust in God’s provision.
