Micah 3:4
The Scripture
(4) Then shall they cry unto the LORD, but he will not hear them: he will even hide his face from them at that time, as they have behaved themselves ill in their doings.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
Micah 3 denounces the rulers and leaders of Jacob and Israel who hate good and love evil, who strip the skin and flesh from His people and chop them up as meat for the pot. Because of their cruelty the Lord declares that when they cry out He will hide His face from them, since they have behaved wickedly. The chapter exposes the corrupt leaders who judge for reward, priests who teach for hire, and prophets who divine for money while leaning on the Lord and claiming no evil can come, and it closes with the sentence that Zion will be plowed as a field, Jerusalem become heaps, and the temple mount like the high places of the forest.
