Luke 6:42
The Scripture
(42) Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother's eye.

In Luke 6 Jesus delivers a teaching that begins with a summary of the law and then offers a new interpretation, calling his followers to love their neighbors as themselves and to seek the kingdom of God. He then describes the blessings of the righteous and the burdens of the wicked, using the Beatitudes to contrast good and evil. The chapter emphasizes that true righteousness comes from the heart, not from outward actions.
