The Scripture
(13) And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about threescore furlongs.

After his resurrection, Jesus appears to the disciples on the road to Emmaus, showing them his risen body and teaching them about his mission. He then warns them not to spread the news until after his ascension, emphasizing that his work is complete and that they must trust in his promise.
