The Scripture
(7) And he put upon him the coat, and girded him with the girdle, and clothed him with the robe, and put the ephod upon him, and he girded him with the curious girdle of the ephod, and bound it unto him therewith.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
In this chapter Aaron and his sons are appointed as priests, and Aaron is formally called to serve as high priest. He is anointed with oil, given the priestly garments, and instructed on his duties, while his sons are also designated as priests. The chapter sets the foundation for the priestly lineage and the sacred responsibilities of the priesthood.
