Leviticus 20:17
The Scripture
(17) And if a man shall take his sister, his father's daughter, or his mother's daughter, and see her nakedness, and she see his nakedness; it is a wicked thing; and they shall be cut off in the sight of their people: he hath uncovered his sister's nakedness; he shall bear his iniquity.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
In this chapter the law commands the Israelites to keep the day of atonement holy and to avoid defiling it with any work or eating. It also instructs them to refrain from touching the sacred objects and to keep the altar clean. The focus is on purity and reverence for God’s holiness.
