The Scripture
(27) And it came to pass, when he was come, that he blew a trumpet in the mountain of Ephraim, and the children of Israel went down with him from the mount, and he before them.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
In this chapter the Israelites, under the leadership of Gideon, defeat the Midianites who had been oppressing them for years, and Gideon’s people are given the chance to be free. The chapter also shows the theme of God’s judgment and the people’s response to His call.
