The Scripture
(46) So that all which fell that day of Benjamin were twenty and five thousand men that drew the sword; all these were men of valour.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
In chapter 20 the Israelites relapse into idolatry after a time of peace and Gideon’s victory over the Midianites, which he accomplishes through divine guidance. The chapter shows that even great victories cannot replace true repentance and faithful obedience to God.
