The Scripture
(17) And the children of Israel journeyed, and came unto their cities on the third day. Now their cities were Gibeon, and Chephirah, and Beeroth, and Kirjathjearim.

The Israelites gather at the Jordan to confront the remaining Amorite tribes that have not submitted, and they defeat them, securing their claim to the land.
