The Scripture
(3) To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.

In this chapter Jesus explains that He is not the thief who steals, but the good shepherd who leads His flock to safety. He declares that the thief will not follow Him, and the sheep will never stray from the true Shepherd. The passage emphasizes Jesus’ authority and love for His people.
