The Scripture
(22) Be not afraid, ye beasts of the field: for the pastures of the wilderness do spring, for the tree beareth her fruit, the fig tree and the vine do yield their strength.

In this chapter the prophet Joel warns of a great disaster that will come upon Israel, describing a fire from heaven that will destroy the land. He also speaks of a future restoration, when God will send a messenger to gather the people and bring about deliverance. The chapter emphasizes God's judgment and the hope of deliverance.
