The Scripture
(11) And the LORD shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the LORD is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?

In this chapter the prophet Joel warns of a great disaster that will come upon Israel, describing a fire from heaven that will destroy the land. He also speaks of a future restoration, when God will send a messenger to gather the people and bring about deliverance. The chapter emphasizes God's judgment and the hope of deliverance.
