The Scripture

(7) And it was so, that after the LORD had spoken these words unto Job, the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends: for ye have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job hath.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)

Job 42 records Job's final reply to the Lord, in which he confesses that God can do all things and that he has uttered what he did not understand-things too wonderful for him-and he withdraws and repents in dust and ashes. After the Lord rebukes the three friends for not speaking what is right, as Job has, He directs them to offer a sacrifice and have Job pray for them, which the Lord accepts in honor of Job. The Lord then restores Job's fortunes twofold, gives him seven sons and three daughters-his daughters the fairest in the land and given an inheritance among their brothers-and lets him live another hundred and forty years to see four generations before dying old and full of days.
