Job 22:23
The Scripture
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
Job 22 records the third speech of Eliphaz the Temanite, who insists that a man cannot be profitable to God and then falsely accuses Job of great wickedness-claiming he had stripped the naked, withheld water and bread from the hungry, and sent widows away empty. He urges Job to return to the Almighty, promising that if he lays up God's words in his heart and puts away iniquity, he will be built up and decree things that shall be established. Eliphaz closes with assurances that the light will shine on Job's ways and that God will deliver even the innocent through the purity of his hands.
