(17) My breath is strange to my wife, though I intreated for the children's sake of mine own body.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
Job 19 opens with Job's anguished reply to Bildad, describing how God has stripped him of glory and alienated even his family and friends. He pleads for pity and for his words to be recorded, then declares his enduring faith that his Redeemer lives and that he will see God in his own flesh. The chapter closes with a warning to his friends to fear God's judgment for their harsh treatment of him.
