The Scripture
(24) Damascus is waxed feeble, and turneth herself to flee, and fear hath seized on her: anguish and sorrows have taken her, as a woman in travail.

In Jeremiah 49 God tells the people of Judah that He will not destroy them as He did the surrounding nations, and He will bring them back to their land.
