Jeremiah 19:11
The Scripture
(11) And shalt say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Even so will I break this people and this city, as one breaketh a potter's vessel, that cannot be made whole again: and they shall bury them in Tophet, till there be no place to bury.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
Jeremiah is sent to the city of Nineveh to warn its people of God’s impending judgment, and they respond with repentance. Though they turn away from sin, God promises not to hold them forever in anger. This chapter shows that God’s judgment is certain, but His mercy can be shown to those who seek forgiveness.
