Jeremiah 16:15
The Scripture
(15) But, The LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north, and from all the lands whither he had driven them: and I will bring them again into their land that I gave unto their fathers.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
Jeremiah 16 opens with the Lord forbidding the prophet to marry or have children because of the grievous deaths coming upon the land through sword and famine. Mourning and feasting are forbidden as well, since the people's fathers forsook the Lord for other gods. The chapter closes with the prophet's confession of the Lord as his strength and a vision of Gentiles confessing their fathers' lies and coming to know His name.
