Jeremiah 12:16
The Scripture
(16) And it shall come to pass, if they will diligently learn the ways of my people, to swear by my name, The LORD liveth; as they taught my people to swear by Baal; then shall they be built in the midst of my people.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
Jeremiah condemns the people of Judah for their continual sin and the king’s false hope of peace. He warns that the day of the Lord will bring a severe judgment that will cut off the hope of the righteous. The chapter ends with a promise that the righteous will be saved and the tree of life will be restored.
