(8) In measure, when it shooteth forth, thou wilt debate with it: he stayeth his rough wind in the day of the east wind.

In this chapter God declares that He will bring disaster upon the wicked city of Jerusalem, destroying its buildings, its people and its wealth. He also promises to bring peace and restoration to the land, and to gather the exiles to a new home. The message emphasizes God’s judgment on sin and His ultimate triumph over evil.
