Isaiah 23:13
The Scripture
(13) Behold the land of the Chaldeans; this people was not, till the Assyrian founded it for them that dwell in the wilderness: they set up the towers thereof, they raised up the palaces thereof; and he brought it to ruin.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
In this chapter the prophet predicts that the kingdom of Babylon will fall, its capital Jerusalem will be desolate, and the people will be left in poverty and hunger. He also says that the land will be a place of famine and that the people will be like a broken vessel. The message is that God is bringing judgment and restoration to Israel.
