Genesis 47:1
The Scripture
(1) Then Joseph came and told Pharaoh, and said, My father and my brethren, and their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have, are come out of the land of Canaan; and, behold, they are in the land of Goshen.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
Joseph’s brothers bring a gift to Pharaoh, and the king orders them to be given to his servants and to be placed in the storehouse. The brothers are then assigned a high place in the storehouse, a sign of God’s favor and provision.
