The Scripture
(15) For all the wells which his father's servants had digged in the days of Abraham his father, the Philistines had stopped them, and filled them with earth.

Abraham, now a hundred years old, is given a promise by God that he will inherit the land of Canaan. He and his family travel to the site of the promised land, find a rock, plant a tree, and build an altar. The chapter shows God’s faithfulness and the beginning of Abraham’s obedience to the covenant.
