(9) And he said unto him, Take me an heifer of three years old, and a she goat of three years old, and a ram of three years old, and a turtledove, and a young pigeon.

In Genesis 15 Abraham is an old man when his servant goes to find a wife for his son Isaac, and he is pleased with Rebekah, who is his servant’s wife. Abraham blesses her and gives her to Isaac, and God promises that Isaac will inherit the land of Canaan. The chapter shows God’s covenant and the fulfillment of Abraham’s promise.
