(10) Thirty basons of gold, silver basons of a second sort four hundred and ten, and other vessels a thousand.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
Ezra returns to Jerusalem with the people and the priests after the Babylonian exile and they are told that they have been oppressed and that a law has been given. The king appoints Nehemiah to oversee the return and the law is given to the people. The chapter shows the people's desire for a law and the beginning of rebuilding the temple.
