The Scripture
(30) And the first of all the firstfruits of all things, and every oblation of all, of every sort of your oblations, shall be the priest's: ye shall also give unto the priest the first of your dough, that he may cause the blessing to rest in thine house.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
Ezekiel 44 describes the sanctuary's east gate, kept shut because the Lord entered through it, now reserved for the prince alone. It condemns the Levites who once strayed after idols, limiting their duties, while the faithful sons of Zadok are granted to minister as priests. The chapter closes with specific rules for the Zadokite priests covering dress, conduct, marriage, and their handling of holy offerings.
